Would I be insane to try to go back to the gym?
I went to the gym and pretty much did my normal routine until about 8 weeks when I was hit with MS and was so exhausted I had to stop.
Do you think it is crazy to try to start up again after over a month? MS is gone and I'm still really tired, but otherwise feeling good.
Did anyone else start going to the gym again in the 2nd trimester and if so, how long were you able to keep it up for?
I'm just trying to figure out if I should cancel my gym membership or not.

Re: Would I be insane to try to go back to the gym?
I took time off from the gym during the first tri b/c I was SO tired. I started going back during the second, just not as crazy as pre-preggo (just wlliptical, treadmill on an incline, light weights). It's definitely given me more energy and I just "feel" good after. I suggest you start going again if you have the energy/time!

I took time off in the first tri too because I wasn't feeling well.
I wouldn't cancel it if you think you'll go. It's healthy and beneficial for labor to keep fit.

I took pretty much the whole 1st tri off but have been back in the saddle since. I actaully go 6x/wk and I am 37wks, mostly b/c I have GD with this pregnancy. I swear it made my first labor quick!

You can try it once and see if you feel up to it! I tried swimming again and after a certain point because I am carrying so high, I couldn't do more than 2 laps (I usually did 15!)-I think it depends on the individual and how you feel. Just listen to your body.

You are definitely not crazy! Just start out slow and work up to a moderate routine. I was a regular at my gym until I started getting m/s and haven't been back since. But once it subsides, I plan to get back on the horse. I just feel better about myself when I work out.

Re: Would I be insane to try to go back to the gym?
I give you so much credit! I stopped gyming it about a year ago after my sons first birthday and I really want to go back, but I feel like why bother??????? I know that's a stupid answer and I am really going to try, and I have to join a new gym now too!
