Would it be crazy to fly once the baby is born?
DH and I would LOVE to go see his parents once Milani arrives and were thinking of going once she turned 2 months? Is that crazy? By then she would have had her shots...I assume. I can't remember.

We were thinking about doing the same thing. SInce i will still be on maternity leave and wont have to take off. My DH's grandma will be 105 and we want her to see the baby... but I am not sure if its okay either at 2 months.

I know DH's sister did it with her daughter when she was 2 months. I can't imagine why it wouldn't be..it's not like you have to remain indoors. Of course you should keep the baby away from any type of germs etc until they have their shots, but I would also like to be able to bring her to see her grandparents.

I have a couple of friends who did this and it was perfectly fine. We will probably fly to AZ when the baby is about 10 weeks.

I have a little germaphobia about flying with little ones. I dont plan on flying for a while after the baby is born.

We might go down to Fl when the baby is 3-4 mos. Haven't decided yet if we'll fly or drive down.
Maybe post a link on the parenting board & see what their experiences have been

I moved to California when DD was 6 weeks. They gave her shots on Monday and we flew on Wed. Everything was okay.

My parents took me to Italy when I was a few months old, and look at me now, perfectly normal!!!!

I think it should be ok by 2 months, but you could ask the pediatrician.
