Would this bother you, someone came to look at our house
This woman came to look at the house and really liked it (I have toget the feed back from the agent) and she started saying that she would run a gas line for the dryer (their was orginially a gas dryer but we swtiched to electric). I really dont care if she wants a gas dryer but what does bother me is that the dryer is a year old and it was over $1K. It just really bothered me that I was thinking about not including the dryer if she made an offer.

nah it wouldn't bother me...I would just be happy it sold....it's always a weird feeling someone else moving into your house but it would be hers now and would want it to suit her tastes. you could try and not include the dryer but I would just be worried about annoying her and potentially losing the deal

I don't see why that would bother you... If it was my house that she wanted to buy, she could rip the whole thing down and rebuild it for all I care, as long as I got the price I wanted.

Re: Would this bother you, someone came to look at our house
when we were selling my DH's condo, the woman wanted to change new & nice things as well. We used it to our advantage and got a chandelier that was previously included in the sale... If she isnt going to use the dryer, see if you can take it with you or if you can say you are taking it and then sell it on craigslist.... dont tell the buyers that its brand new or what its worth!

I might be a little annoyed, but it's not like she is ripped your taste or style. When I go to open houses, I keep my comments to myself because I dont want to offend anyone.

Or I would say to her. I overheard you saying that you will use a gas dryer. I'd like to take my dryer if thats OK with you? I wouldn't stand firm on it but it can't hurt to ask. Gas dryers are cheaper so I don't think you should be offended

Re: Would this bother you, someone came to look at our house
I don't think it would bother me, but something along these lines...we just bought a new house that has a large apartment attached where my IL's will eventually live (lucky me.)...the appliances in the kitchen are all practically brand new. My MIL wants a new stove, because the one that is already there isn't self cleaning and isn't a convection oven. I was ****** off when I heard this, they are always saying how they don't have money - well, then where the heck are you getting money to buy a brand new stove when there is one there already that doesn't look like it was EVER used! She rarely cooks - not sure why she's so adamant about getting a new stove. Now tell me, why does this bother me? I'm not sure!!
