So I just noticed people posting their holiday pics from Target and the backround and props are EXACTLY the same as last year. We did ours there last year and have an appointment to do them again this week. Now I am thinking that I should cancel. I really do not want the same picture even if the kids are older. WWYD???

I would call them and see if they have added anything new from last yr. It wouldn't really bother me because I bought backdrops and use the same ones every yr for certain holiday's. But if it bothers you call up and see.

If it bothers you then give them a call and see what they have this year. Maybe just do pics with a backdrop instead of props. Most places have the same things though each year.

Yes it would bother me.
Go to sears. They are good and they have some great winter/holiday backgrounds. There are even great coupons out. I usually get them in the mail but I am sure you can do a search for the coupons online.

I worked for a studio similar to Target for years. Sometimes a different photographer can make all the difference in the world. If you go and are not happy with the pics it will only have cost you an hour of your time. Just tell the photographer that you want something different from last year. Maybe even bring in wallets from that sitting, if the photographer is any good they will be able to provide you a great vastly different sitting

I would agree with you! I wouldnt want the same backgrounds 2 years in a row. Maybe try Sears, we had our pics there last year and I was happy with the choices!

Maybe they have other backgrounds available or even a plain white one? I wouldn't want the same background 2 years in a row either.

it is bothering me and I am considering not using them because it is exactly the same as last years.

Take your pic from last year as a reference and see if this year DC's can be positioned in a different spot of it. How much of the background is seen anyway. Do a close up if you didn't last year. Or have them sitting or standing, whatever is different from last year so you see another part of the backdrop.

I thought that a lot of people like to get the same background year after year. My friend has even bought the same sweater in every size and has him in one of them every year. I have his whole life progression in my photo albums and it's pretty neat to see it that way. I would prefer a place that has a few of the same choices plus some new ones. What if there was one I remembered from last year and decided I want it? Sears has so many that I do not think that a child who had a photo shoot there last year would have used them all anyway. Is Target that way?
