would this situation call for fertility drugs?
This is not me this is afreind of mine.
Heres the background.
She had a mc ten years a go. Had a mc in january. No kids in between. Her dh and her have been letting things happen as they may for about 3 years and only got pregnant that one time back in jan. ( the other pregnancy was with an ex ) anyway all teh test and everyting came back normal on her, bloodwork and sono showignf ashe is ovulating.. Th eonly things she has and she knew about this is she is rh negative. They havent tested the dh yet for anyting
I know they use provera if you arent ovulating but she is. Also the dr said they are going to discuss the next steps but he said it could come down to just plain old stress. What kind of fertility drugs if any would be used in tis case.

She needs to see an RE and be tested. Everyone is different.

Re: would this situation call for fertility drugs?
First thing he should get is a semen analysis, before any further invasive tests are done...

this is what i thought would be the logical step as well but she said the dr said well the fact thatyou got pregnat by hime ( once mind you the other time was an ex) indicates he doesnt have any problems. i thouht that was odd.

But when you have miscarriages ovulation may not be the issue. I would suggest she sees someone at SIRM

It doesn't sound like she was tested by an RE, and they often do more tests than an OBGYN. They look for a lot more than the things you mentioned.
ETA: A man can impregnate a woman if there are issues with his spem. However, the odds of her getting in any given month are much lower.

Re: would this situation call for fertility drugs?
Sorry for my post, I was unclear.. I just thought he may also have sperm problems as she only got pregnant once in three ( or ten) years.. That seemed very low to me. Sounds like she may have some uterine problems or blood issues, but he could have a low count, and that is why it is taking her a while to conceive. :)

I agree with this...she really needs to see an RE.

Totally agree. If she was seeing an RE there is no doubt that s/he would have been sending her husband to get tested as well. 30% of all fertility problems are male factor.
Good luck to her. Let her know we're here if she needs support
