Would you apply?
There are a few positions in same department that I want to apply for but I don't have some of the stuff they're asking for. Unfortunately I don't have a college degree and they stated Degree preferred, and certain experience in a certain setting (healthcare) but I don't have that. Well, I have the experience and can do the work, just not in a healthcare setting. Whatever I'm concerned about in the ad it said preferred or highly desired. Would you still apply or should I not even bother? Thanks!

I would always apply...It really just depends on who else is applying. Don't be offended if you don't get an interview, since they will interview those with all of the preferred quals first, but it can't hurt to try!

ITA. It can't hurt. The last job I got I did not meet all of the preferred requirements.

Def apply, the worst that will happen is they will say No. There's no harm in applying, you never know you just might get it!!
