Would you as a Godmother wear all black to the church?
Im a phys ed teacher. I really dont have many dresses. My weight has also fluctuated a lot the last year. I just bought a flattering dress for my schools graduation ceremony which i presented at. Its a nice plain black one which is very flattering on me. Very appropriate but I have read online not to wear all black or red.
What are your thoughts on this? If I cant wear it I have to drag my 3 kids out tonight to go dress shopping again.

i don't see why it would be bad, but if you are concerned maybe through on a brightly colored cardigan or shawl/scarf?

I've been to many Christenings and I'm also Catholic. I've worn black and many parents have worn black too. I guess if your friends have a preference on what godparents have to wear, they'll tell you.

As far as I'm concerned a Christening is a pretty formal event.. and black is a formal color. I'd wear it!
