would you ask for a sono?
i had a sono 2 weeks ago at 7 weeks and we saw the HB - everything looked great.
i have an OB appointment tomorrow (9 weeks) but i won't have another sono until the ultrascreen at 12 weeks.
i have been having such weird cramping lately. i know some cramping is normal, and i haven't had any spotting (knock on wood!) but i can't help but be a bit worried.
i am hoping she'll try and use the doppler but i know it's really early. would you mention the cramping and ask if she would do a sono?

Re: would you ask for a sono?
I would definitely mention the cramping and I am sure they will do a sono. I am sure everything is fine but they should just check anyway.
ETA: Everytime I went to my monthly OB checkup I would ask for a sono since the machine was already in the room. Then, I noticed that they started putting me in another room that didn't have a sono machine. I wonder why?

Mention the cramping and see what they say.

Re: would you ask for a sono?
The doppler would probably just make you more nervous, because it is still really early to hear the HB on a doppler. Ask for the sono, worst they can say is no.
Just be aware though that if they don't put that it was medically necessary, your insurance may not cover it.

this is what I meant - but she said better. They "code" the procedures when the submit it to insurance so if the office doesnt code it as medically necessary, it can get kicked back
