I have no idea where this rule came from about not cutting a kid's hair until a year old - I thought it was a cultural Italian thing w/ my family, but apparently this is everyone's 'rule'
I cut Sean's hair when he was 4 months b/c it was totally out of control and he looked ridiculous -
I don't care what "they" say - Who are they? He's my kid and I didn't want him walking around looking like that -

Same.
My kids had similar hair. It is cute in a certain way but I know what it's like to be the mom of that crazy hair EVERY day, lol, and it's a pain. Plus summer is coming. My ds got a trim around 5 months.

DD has wild hair.. and its just too darn cute! I haven't cut it yet.. my MIL and my dad keeps pushing me to get it cut.. I will soon though!

I would not cut it! I think its adorable! My son is 19 months and needs a haircut but Im so scared to do it. I dont want him to look too grown up.

my 1st sons hair was like that. We didn't cut it until he was close to 1.
BIG mistake!!!! 
I look back at pictures and go... what the h*ll were we thinking?!?!?!? look at that mop on his head!!!!
We definitely should have cut it a few times before he turned 1. 
my 2nd son is 14 months and he's had about 3-4 haircuts already.

My son had the SAME exact hair. WE trimmed it at about 3 months and he had his first haircut at 5 months..and once a month since then.
We used to brush his hair down when he got out of the bath. LIterally, slick it down, wet, with a brush and that helped tame it a lot. Maybe give that a try and you can buy some more time until you decide.

DO NOT TOUCH THAT BABY'S HAIR!!!!!!! He is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute with his hair all over the place,  He is freaking precious!!!!!!!
Honestly though, I would cut the back if it starts getting too long, but I would definitely keep the length on the top because he is precious with it!!!
DS has a little mohawk that is out of control and I could never imagine even trying to tame it because it is so freaking cute!

That hair is too cute! He's adorable!! I wouldn't cut it until it started getting in his eyes or on his first birthday... but that is just me.
I wish DS had hair!! I want him to get it cut at the barber on Main Street in Disney this November but at this rate the kid isn't going to need a cut until his 5th birthday!!!

OMG he so cute..but no don't cut it yet. Tommy had his first hair cut at 9 months and it was spring time so it was getting warm out..wait a few more months!!
