Would you let Dh go away on a business trip 2 weeks before your scheduled c-section??
I was induced with Ava at 41 weeks and had to have a c-section.
With this baby, I am due on Sept 25th, but will be having a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks on Sept 17th.
Dh has to go to Fla for his job the week of sept 5th...
Could this baby come early since DD was late??? If you were late the first time, are you usually late with each subsequent pregnancy??
Can a Doctor usually tell if you will go early????
I was soooooo huge and uncomfortable with Ava that I swore she would come at least a month early!!! Yeah right???
Would you let DH go???????? I really don't want to get wheeled into the OR without him!

I might be in the same predicament with DH (same dates too!). I am saying yes to "letting" him go. I figure it is only a flight away and the chances of delivering early are very slim.

Ouch. Florida is a long way away. And you'd be 36 weeks? Hmmmm. Toughie.

I would. I was 10 days late with Ella, and 1 day early with Erik. I stopped Al's business trips 2 weeks prior to my due date with both.
At 36 weeks, I'd be comfortable with him going to FL. Its a short flight back

I was in a similar situation, he went, however, we only have 1 baby, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable staying home, him away in FL with a toddler to look after. Sorta too close...Good luck to you!

I would let him go too. DH went to Myrtle Beach when I was 37 weeks with lukie. All was fine.

This may seem like a strange question, but does DH have a choice? If it's a business trip, I would assume that he has to go and that there he doesn't have a choice.

How long is the business trip? Does he have a choice? I am not sure what I would do. I probably really would not want him to leave. Usually they say with your second you can go earlier, but I do not know for sure. If he has no choice and will be gone for a couple of days I am sure it will be fine. You should ask your doctor what he/she thinks about the chances of you going earlier.

Re: Would you let Dh go away on a business trip 2 weeks before your scheduled c-section??
I don't think there are any rules when it comes to baby coming late or early. I have some friends/familiy who had 2 complete different pregnancies.
How long is the business trip? Is it mandatory? If not, then he should stay. If he has to go, get everything ready for "just in case".
There are a lot of flights between FL and NY so it's not like he would go overseas.
I agree it's not the best timing though.
