Wow... he sold us out to the Russians...
I knew he was a Russian puppet, and rolls over on his back in front of any dictator, but to actually throw the entire country and all of our intelligence agencies under the bus, in front of Putin and the entire word?
WTF!!!! That's basically treason. Putin got everything he wanted, and we got a soccer ball....
This was just after he went around the EU saying that they are foes, and basically terrible countries.
The entire EU is retooling how they deal with the US, since we're no longer a reliable ally, and Russia is glowing because IQ45 is basically a puppy looking for his abusive master to give him a pat on the head.
You know it's bad when even Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, quite a few republican senators and representatives, and half of FOX is saying how utterly terrible that whole debacle was.

The only glimmer of hope in all this is that the outrage and shock is universal... if both parties are united against him, maybe it's finally a way to get him out.

Re: Wow... he sold us out to the Russians...
Very briefly, he toured Europe insulting various countries and leaders, and calling them "economic foes". He then went to Helsinki and had a private one-on-one conversation with Putin (only the two of them and interpreters. No aides, no support persons, non of the normal heads of state conversation protocols, so nobody knows what actually happened) After the 2 hour conversation with Putin, the two of them had a press conference.
https://www.cnn.com/2018/07/16/politics/21-lines-donald-trump-vladimir-putin-summit/index.html
Some of the worst comments he made, among many.... These are all related to the Russian hacking...
"I hold both countries responsible. I think that the United States has been foolish. I think we've all been foolish. ... And I think we're all to blame."
"My people came to me, Dan Coats came to me and some others, they said they think it's Russia. I have President Putin; he just said it's not Russia. I will say this: I don't see any reason why it would be."
"So I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today."
He also went into a lot about how he won the election, and we should look into Hillary's email server...
And both sides of the aisle are saying how absolutely terrible his meeting was, and his press conference.
Here's the full transcript of the press conference: https://www.npr.org/2018/07/16/629462401/transcript-president-trump-and-russian-president-putins-joint-press-conference

It's honestly stunning what he said. If this were any other President they'd be calling for his head but as we all know, with this a$$hole they just brush everything under the rug.

Re: Wow... he sold us out to the Russians...
Oh yeah, and Mr. Art of the Deal thinks it's great the Putin is going to investigate his own people that we are accusing of hacking the US...
He offered to have the people working on the case come and work with their investigators, with respect to the 12 people. I think that's an incredible offer. Ok? Thank you.
Yeah, great deal... let the arsonist investigate himself to prove that he didn't burn the house down... how can you be any stupider? It's still early in the day, I'm sure he'll show us soon enough....
Even just the way he carried himself at the presser, he looked weak and subservient.

Re: Wow... he sold us out to the Russians...
What would they say if a Democrat had done this? From the NYT opinion section:
"They’d call him the Manchurian Candidate. They’d accuse him of treason. They’d call for an armed insurrection or something close to it. They’d say he hates America. And they wouldn’t be wrong. Here is a president of the United States who repeatedly blames America first; who takes the word of a former K.G.B. agent over his own intelligence agencies; who promises to work constructively with a despot whose regime kills journalists, shoots down civilian airliners and uses nerve agents to assassinate its enemies abroad; and who aims his rhetorical fire on an opposing party instead of an enemy government. And the Make America Great Again crowd, with an exception or two, says pretty much nothing, or averts its gaze, or switches the subject."

Re: Wow... he sold us out to the Russians...
We were warned during the debates by non other than Hillary Clinton: At 3:20
https://youtu.be/Ypl7hWhpfGs
Debate held on October 19th, 2016
CLINTON: Well, that’s because he’d rather have a puppet as president of the United States. TRUMP: No puppet. No puppet. CLINTON: And it’s pretty clear... TRUMP: You’re the puppet! CLINTON: It’s pretty clear you won’t admit... TRUMP: No, you’re the puppet. CLINTON: ... that the Russians have engaged in cyberattacks against the United States of America, that you encouraged espionage against our people, that you are willing to spout the Putin line, sign up for his wish list, break up NATO, do whatever he wants to do, and that you continue to get help from him, because he has a very clear favorite in this race. So I think that this is such an unprecedented situation. We’ve never had a foreign government trying to interfere in our election. We have 17 — 17 intelligence agencies, civilian and military, who have all concluded that these espionage attacks, these cyberattacks, come from the highest levels of the Kremlin and they are designed to influence our election. I find that deeply disturbing. WALLACE: Secretary Clinton... CLINTON: And I think it’s time you take a stand... TRUMP: She has no idea whether it’s Russia, China, or anybody else. CLINTON: I am not quoting myself. TRUMP: She has no idea. CLINTON: I am quoting 17... TRUMP: Hillary, you have no idea. CLINTON: ... 17 intelligence — do you doubt 17 military and civilian... TRUMP: And our country has no idea. CLINTON: ... agencies. TRUMP: Yeah, I doubt it. I doubt it. CLINTON: Well, he’d rather believe Vladimir Putin than the military and civilian intelligence professionals who are sworn to protect us. I find that just absolutely... (CROSSTALK) TRUMP: She doesn’t like Putin because Putin has outsmarted her at every step of the way.

ARGH this makes me so angry. And people voted against her because they didn't like her personality. Bullsh!t, it's because she's a woman. If she had been a man, she'd be president right now. And I truly believe that.

Re: Wow... he sold us out to the Russians...
HE'S DOING WHAT HE DOES BEST, BACKPEDDLING.
President Donald Trump says he meant the opposite when he said in Helsinki that he doesn't see why Russia would have interfered in the 2016 U.S. elections.
Back at the White House on Tuesday, the president told reporters that he said he meant he doesn't see why Russia "wouldn't" be responsible.
He also said he accepts the American intelligence community's conclusion that Russia interfered in the election, but he denied that his campaign had colluded in the effort.
Farking asshole. He's more of a threat to our national security than anyone or any one county.

We're well on the way to becoming a banana republic.
Going to go write some postcards for Danny O'Connor for Postcards to Voters.
We need to flip the house.
We need some defense against this guy.

I actually thought about giving up my US passport for a German one (I’ve been here long enough to get one) the other day when I renewed my permanent residency. The thing is it costs money to give up the US passport.
I saw all my British colleagues go and get their German citizenship when Brexit happened. That was a smart move.
I can’t do dual, but I guess you can bc of your mom?
I’m just struggling giving up my American passport, but it just might be the right thing these days.

Both my parents are German born. When I applied for my German citizenship, I had to prove only my father. My mom was also a Swedish citizen, so I have another choice there. My passport is EU, nationality is German. It's going to be tough teaching DH German......although he knows how to say Bier.

From God on Twitter:
Trump: There's no reason why it would be Russia
Trumpsters: Yeah! MAGA!! MAGA!!
Trump: I meant there's no reason why it *wouldn't* be Russia
Trumpsters: Yeah! MAGA!! MAGA!!

I think the truth is they just want to feel like their "team" wins. How many things do you read where they will post stuff because they "love the taste of libtard tears?" it's like it's a game to them but they don't want to realize there are real world consequences for these things. Oh, and, some of them are just racist/bigotted POSs and love that TRE45ON (I'm kinda liking this one) is pushing for a nationalist, whites only kind of country. Funny (horribly sad/funny) to see him saying America First while $hitting on America every day and his supporters eat it up because (see above.)

I don't think he will. I really and truly don't. If the Dems take the House and/or Senate I am not even sure he'll be around to see the end of his term. I think he has LESS supporters than HE thinks he has. I think that he will absolutely lose all of the people who voted for him because they figured they would "give him a chance" since they disliked HRC.
However this presidency ends, I don't think it will end well for this country. At this point he is blatantly and unapologetically showing his admiration and infatuation with dictatorships, especially with Putin. With every tweet, comment and action he is very methodically trying to undo the pillars of democracy in this country. He criticizes our laws and judicial system, he dismisses our intelligence agencies, he alienates and turns his back on allies while getting into bed with our enemies, and he keeps pushing the idea that the media is the problem. He is also constantly scapegoating and distracting to create constant confusion and unrest across the nation. He's scary.
Trump's presidency has gone BEYOND just a dimwit in the WH, he's starting to become an actual danger to this nation and we should ALL be afraid of the damage that won't be able to be undone in the coming years long after he's gone.
Lastly, ALL politics aside the man is without question mentally unstable. There is something very wrong "upstairs". Aside from suffering from an extreme case of narcissism, he has delusions of grandeur, a poor grasp of reality, and an inability to conduct himself with maturity and grace. He responds to criticism like a spoiled brat. He also has little to no understanding of the English language and continues to ramble incoherently like a drunk Alzheimer patient who hasn't slept in weeks. He makes ZERO sense. EVER.
He needs to be removed from office. ASAP. But Congress will unfortunately continue to do what they do best, NOTHING.

I don't think he will, I HOPE that he will not. I honestly do not think that he has many supporters left, even his own party is ashamed of him. Charlotte NC has reluctantly agreed to host the 2020 RNC because of Trump.
I do HOPE that any opponents, Republican or Democrat, are strong enough to force him out of running.
