WOW- Holy Veins! With Question?
I swear, I feel like all of the sudden yesterday evening I have been noticing all these things.
My skin is like See-through. (I have always been fair and thinned skin). Just recently though my whole body looks like a road map. Lot's of noticeable veins on my stomach, chest, arms, hands (came out of no-where this weekend) I recently started my 3rd trimester.
Just want to make sure this is common in the 3rd trimester. I know at this point there is an increase of blood flow...so assuming that's why.
Just want to check that this is normal?? Or should I bring up to my OBGYN???

My belly and boobs are full of blue veins, too... kinda freaky! I don't have it anywhere else though. I'm sure it's normal due to the increased blood flow.

I believe it has to do with blood volume, which has doubled over the past few weeks. You may also notice your resting heartrate to be higher than usual as well as your blood pressure. My OB said these are nothing to worry about, but to just keep in mind that your body is working very hard right now and to listen to it.
You can call if you want, but you can also just mention it at your next appointment and see what your doctor says. I don't think it's anything to worry about but I'm not a doctor.

My MIL was on Lovenox as part of her treatments for her brain tumor -- that stuff is awful!!! She was so bruised all over her body.  I think she's finally off it for now. They had found some blood clots in her lungs during her chemo which is why they put her on it.
Do you have super clotting blood or something?
I was at the gym this morning and walked 2 1/2 miles and noticed my heart racing more than usual again so I slowed down a bit. I wonder if I'll ever get used to this!
My chest is all splotchy from all the extra blood. Sometimes my face gets super rosy. I did read last night in my BF book that you're supposed to start seeing more veins in your breasts FWIW.

I'm also on Lovenox and baby asprin. I'm sure this makes it worse too. I am 23 weeks 2 days and i have veins everywhere. My chest, and stomach mostly. It's so gross but normal.

me too!! I asked my dr about it in the beginning b/c the veins on the palms of my hands were freaking me out.
