Wow! I can't believe it
so in febuary I sold a $420 handbag to a girl in Germany
it never showed up
I lost the paypal dispute- so I was out the money and the bag
in May - she sends me a message- that she got the bag
and she refused it
I was kind of annoyed- b/c I would have sent it her money to send it back to me fed-ex or something
well- almost 3 months later- the bag showed up today at my house!
I am in shock!

The post in Germany is so not good. My mother delivered a few things to me when I was living there and there was no notice in my mailbox that the mailman even tried to deliver it. I even went to the post office. I had NO IDEA until it showed up back at my mom's house. This happened twice.
She tried again, b/c she had to express deliver some tickets to me. She figured since she was paying extra with express it had to get to me. They tried to deliver it, but I wasn't there so they just left. No notice, no nothing (I was living in a student house, like a dorm, but individual rooms). So I really needed these tickets as I was leaving the next morning to travel. I called my family and they gave me a number in Germany to call to find out where these tickets were. I eventually got through and they told me they were sending my mail to Munich, which was three hours away from where I lived. Apparently they hold mail there (for my area at least) until someone picks it up. If it isn't picked up they send it back to sender.
Does this person you mailed the handbag to live in a house or does she have a PO box thingy?
I still to this day can't figure out how the post notifies people in Germany. It boggles my mind.
ETA: I got the tickets, before they sent it back to Munich and was able to go on my trip.

I still outside the US
but I only send priority mail with insurace now- haven't had an issue
I sent this first class mail to save money- and you get what you pay for

I had to sent an item I sold for $100 to Canada and it got lost in the mail. I lost the item and the money too!!!
You're lucky you got the bag back at least!!!
