Maybe she knows something you don't know! I kind of believe in that whole spiritual thing. And those little innocent ones believe too!

I'm with you!!! When I was having trouble having my second, my daughter, completely out of the blue, told me that she just knew that I was going to have a baby because that was what we all really wanted. Needless to say I was shocked because I too had never discussed this with her. Go know that during our conversation, I was in fact pregnant but didn't know it yet. I wish, with all my heart, the same for you.

Beth - there is no question in my mind that Alex is a very special, insightful little girl. she has been aware of this longer than you realize, based on your other posts. She is so in tune with you.
Have you ever thought of telling her you are going to the doctor to help have a baby? It may worry her thinking you are sick, seeing how close she is with you....

You know, it's funny you should say that because I was thinking about that yesterday, because lately Alex has had an obsession with doctors and medicine, and I'm sure it's because of my many, MANY doctor appointments to "get medicine" to help the booboo in my tummy.
I really am all for telling the truth with her, but the only problem is she has a tremendously big mouth and reports EVERYTHING I tell her to all her friends, their parents and her teachers. I would just be scared of what she would start circulating around school

So funny you say this because I also constantly toyed with the idea of talking to my daughter about what was going on for the exact reason cited above. However, just like Alex, my kid always had a big mouth and I decided not to talk with her about it. In retrospect, sneaking off to doctors was a lot of work.
Hopefully, this discussion will soon be moot for you as well.
