Wow so I guess I am officially...
...on maternity leave!
Yesterday was the start of my district's holiday break and I seriously doubt I am going back after. My due date is Jan 14th and we go back the 5th. With my swelling and other issues, my Dr was going to give me a note to stop working last week, but I wasnt ready yet, so I doubt he is going to be too keen on me going back in 2 weeks.

I remember walking out of work for the last time, for maternity leave...
I wasn't 100% that I wasn't coming back, but knew that I had an appointment that night and would likely be having a baby within the next day or 2.
It was a great feeling, a little scary too.
I left in September and knew I wouldn't be back until January... I thought wow, it will be 2006 when Im back here, and it seemed so far away.
Guess what... time flew by and I was back at work crying before I knew it!
ENJOY these last few days before your little one arrives!!!

Wow Jen! First of all, I am jealous that you don't have work next week ( I have Mon and Tues)!
Secondly, congrats on being on maternity leave! That is awesome!!! Now you can relax for the next few weeks until the baby arrives.
(I am secretly hoping for Jan 11 because that is my birthday!)

Ya know.. you would think I would be jumping for joy!
Yesterday I was SAD leaving work!!!!
I am going to find it SO weird to not be there, have someone else in my classroom etc. I know it will all change once the baby comes, but its weird to think about!

Congrats!!!!! That must feel wonderful!!!
My last day is Tuesday the 23rd!!!! I am PSYCHED!!! I might actually get another snow day Monday if there's another snow storm so I would just have to go back for Tuesday, that would be SWEET! lol Now you can concentrate on getting whatever you need ready!

I have been on maternity leave now for 2 weeks, I am so glad that I had the extra time to get everything done and ready!
Enjoy the time, I'm sure the baby will be here before you know it!
