Write out thank you's for presents from many different people?

Work was very kind and threw me a shower. We got 2 very generous big presents (one present was a basket filled with lots of goodies) from each "wing" where everyone chipped in- probably about 25-30 people for each present.

I am going to bring in bagels tomorrow as a "thank you"- should we hand write each person a thank you? Or can we type out a thank you for everyone and personalize it with a handwritten message?

Tough one -- I would think the bagels were good enough -- and maybe a big group email? Or putting a sign out with the bagels thanking everyone?

This is what we do too. I would also write out a personal TY card to whoever coordinated it. There's usually one person that gets the ball rolling, collects the money, does the actual shopping, etc.

I think putting a thank you card on the table next to the bagels is a really nice idea. That way its still personalized but you dont have to send out individual ones.

I had a bridal shower at work and handwrote each thank you...however, if that's not the past practice in your building then I would say handwrite a thank you and place it next to the bagels in the morning. I always find a handwritten card to be more personal then a typed one (even though they say the same thing...I know, it's weird! lol)

When I had a bridal shower at work I sent out an email. Everyone was beyond generous.. Plus I bought pizza for lunch some days after and gather everyone who attended.

I think you should do the bagel thing along with an email. Chat Icon
