I just stop talking to them. If they ask me I will tell them. I dont really do this much but there have been a couple of people who just caused too much drama and I couldnt take it anymore.

How do they know when you don't tell them?
I'm talking about times where there is no huge fight or anything like that to make it feel definitive.

How do they know when you don't tell them?

Because i am like an open book. My friends know when i am upset and deep down know why. I am not the type of person to end a friendship over silly crap. So it is usually quite obvious

I told her. This way, I didn't have to bother with her anymore. Luckily this has only happened to me once.

I stopped taking her phone calls and then I wound up seeing her on the way to work one day (at the bus stop) and we had a few words, which definitely ended it.

I'm terrible with confrontation, and it takes a LOT for me to write off a friend. Basically, they have to hurt me multiple times for me to finally write them off. When I do decide to do this, I just stop talking to them. I don't return calls or e-mails, and don't IM them. It's cowardly, but I am terrible with confrontation.
