WW question while BF'ing - Not losing weight?
I am BEYOND upset! I have done WW 2 times in the past with great success from beginning to end and in a short amount of time for what I lost. (lost 50lbs. in 5 months 1st time and 50 lbs. in 6 months the 2nd time). The most weight I lost at once during those times were the first 2 weeks of starting WW. Well, I started WW a few weeks ago and have been following it the same way except eating those extra nursing points which are 10 points a day. (I'm following the old plan) I am not losing weight this time!!! I am so upset to say the least. I started going to the gym recently and jogging too.
What exactly is the reason behind eating those extra points while nursing? All I know is that you're suppose to be burning calories? Is this right? If so, is it possible that while you're suppose to be burning that many per day, that maybe I'M not??? Maybe not as much as they say? Maybe I'm out of the norm and shouldn't be eating them? WW while nursing is new to me so... Is it bad for my milk supply if I don't eat those extra nursing points? Do I have to? This su@ks! I CAN'T stay this heavy until I'm done nursing. I will be so miserable. Any thoughts? Thanks!

The extra points while nursing are there because you need extra nutrition, especially if your milk is the sole source of nutrition for your child.
Have you tried going back to a meeting and learning about the new program?

Re: WW question while BF'ing - Not losing weight?
I am having the same exact problem. I lost 45lbs on the old WW program before I had a surprise pregnancy. I gained the entire amont back while pregnant. My daughter was 6 months this week and she has been pretty much EBF the entire time. I have lost hardly any weight this time and I have been following the new WW plan since January. I am trying to wean her now so I guess we will see what happens over the next 6 months.
