WWYD-- fever related (long, sorry)
DD was a bit warm yesterday, getting progressively worse but she was still in a good mood & acting practically her normal self. Slight diaper rash, so we were thinking teething.
We took her temp at 6:30pm and it was 102.9. Gave her Tylenol, she ate dinner & was in a good mood, had her bottle and went to bed. Up at 3:30am with a 103.1 temp, more Tylenol, back to sleep for an hour, then threw up in her crib Cleaned her up, back to sleep. She's MUCH cooler now (although probably slightly warm) and a bit clingy still.
I was worried at first that it could be another UTI, but there are no other symptoms of that thankfully. Last UTI her fever would not break w/Tylenol, and her urine smelled foul. Neither of those are happening now, thankfully.
We saw our friends' kids about 8 days ago, DD played with their daughter tons. DH hears yesterday that their kids had something that sounds very similar, but got sick more than DD has. Took them to the ped, viral thing that they just had to wait out.
Would you take DD to the ped? I haven't taken her temp again b/c I like to wait until the Tylenol is really, really out of her system, but will when she wakes from her nap. Of course I don't want to drag her there unnecessarily, but don't want to not treat her.
ETA: If you read all of this-- thank you

I don't normally take them to the ped for fevers as long as they are drinking, have no secondary symptoms or it's not a high fever (103+) for more than a few days.
eta. just read about the urine smell. Call them

Oh, I have to re-read, I probably typed wrong. There is NO urine smell this time.
Thanks Barb She does feel much cooler lately so I'm hoping the temp is much lower.

Re: WWYD-- fever related (long, sorry)
I think there is something going around. DD who is never sick -after a day of feeling perfect - started having stridor after DH and I took her for a walk in our new jogger. I thought she was getting croup (spoke with the ped who agreed) but she never got a cough at all and the stridor disappeared after a few hours. She got a runny nose for a few hours but still no fever. Sunday afternoon her nose stopped running all together - but was slightly fussy. Eventually ran about 100.4 so nothing serious. Around 12 am woke up with 102.3 and I gave her some motrin. By yesterday morning she had NO fever, but slight horseness followed by a flat rash on her back, sides and a tiny bit on her tummy. Still no fever and she acts totally normal. Her ped didn't want to see her since she seems to be doing better with no fever or fussiness. She was eating and drinking as normal the whole time. I'm chalking it up to something viral - but DH and I aren't sick and neither is anyone else who she has been around. The only thing I can think of is that she caught something at the LICM on Thursday.
If she keeps throwing up, fever goes up or is really fussy I would at least call and see if they want to see her.
I hope she has a quick recovery and is feeling better ASAP.

I would call. Especially since she is still so young. I always feel it's better to err on the side of caution. JMHO. I hope she feels better soon.
