WWYD - ? Regarding 1st b-day and EDD for baby #2
AJ's 1st b-day is Nov 16th and my EDD is Nov 13 for baby #2. What would you do regarding celebrating AJ's 1st b-day. Do I have a party in early October? Do I skip a party entirely? I am so torn about this b/c I feel like I dont want to take away from AJ but what if I book a big party and then go into labor and miss it. I also dont want to wait until after I have baby #2 because I would not feel comfortable bringing a newborn around all those people. Any suggestions?

HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would have the party early Oct 100% so it doesn't take away from AJ's first bday and you are still comfy and ok to do things.......

I would set the date for earyl-mid October. That way you're giving yourself atleast 3-4 weeks before your EDD. And I agree about not waiting until after. It's too hectic of a time of year and then you'll wind up waiting until spring and feeling like it's too past due.

The 1st birthday is for the parents, not the child. DD didn't realize her 1st birthday was for her, and she won't remember it.
If you want to do something, I would just make it small and simple- even just close family and friends. Make your life as easy as possible.

Late October would work. Well how was yoru last pg? How were you feeling and how wa syoru Blood pressure late October? If you were out of order late October with your last pg then make it for early Oct. Think back.
You can have a holloween theme for his party! That would be cool!!!
How are you feeling?????????

Re: WWYD - ? Regarding 1st b-day and EDD for baby #2
My #2 EDD was right about the time of my DS b-day (they ended up being born within 3 days of each other, 2 years apart)....
Anyway, knowing this, I planned his birthday for a full month after my EDD. That way, the baby would come, I'd be settled, and he would have something to look forward to after this new baby invaded his life Worked out well, exceept I got a kidney infection and ended up hospitalized and missed the party anyway
In your case, seeing it is November, I would definitely do it before...

October sounds great. I don't think that takes anything away from him and you will be able to enjoy it.
