(WWyD ) 2nd trimester anatomy scan is tomorrow and
I'm trying to decide if we should take our 4.5 yo DD with us. Hopefully we will be fining out the sex of the baby .
On one hand we'd like our DD to be there to see the baby and to share the moment with us, but this will also mean keeping her home from prek.
On the other hand we feel like maybe this should be our moment and we should just go without DD (I know maybe it sounds a bit selfish )
So I can't decide , lol I know, so silly. Can't believe I'm stressing over this so much and making such a big deal out of it

Personally I would take her. I know my DS was so excited to see the baby each time. It was a moment I will never forget. And my ds's involvement made the pregnancy even more special.

We took our 3.5 year old DS with us and he LOVED it. The technician told him what we were having and he got to tell us! He goes to every sonogram with us
He likes seeing his little brother "on the tv screen" lol

Definitely take her. It'll make her feel included in the pregnancy. Pick up an "I'm the Big Sister!" shirt for her so she knows she's special, too.

I would absolutely take her and let her share in the excitement. This is a big deal for her too........she is becoming a big sister!!  How exciting for her as well to find out if she is getting a baby brother or a baby sister. I would totally bring her, no hesitation. Good luck at the anatomy scan!!!!

I would take her. It might be cute if you have the sono tech tell her the sex of the baby and then she can tell you and your DH.

I'm in the minority, but I wouldn't bring her, I think it's a special time for you and DH. There is plenty of time for the Big Sister celebration when the baby arrives.
Also, having had 2 miscarriages, it would make me nervous that god forbid something was wrong and now DD had to be there to witness it.
