DH,DS and I are going to to my SIL's for Thanksgiving weekend. We are staying a few days so I said I'd bring a tray of ziti so we could have that for Friday night dinner.

So, would you make it yourself or order it from a (very good) pizza place near your house.

The pizza place includes garlic sticks, plus they would pack it nicely for traveling and I have a 10% off couponChat Icon

If I make it myself, it would be my own sauce though.

What one do you like the taste better???

If you are tight on money then i would make the ziti. If not then i would think it would be a nice treat to order out

Either way, it is really nice that you are bringing something to take the stress off your SILs hands.

I would order something just because for me, preparing to go away, even if it's just for a few days, is kinda stressful so I wouldn't want to add cooking into the mess of getting ready to go aawy.

I'm not sureChat Icon

And DH and I were just talking about it that to make it would cost at least $30, but to order would be around $40 including bread....ugh. Decisions!

If that's the case, I'd buy it - If it was spending $20 vs $75, ok - suck it up and cook .........but for the $10 difference, you'll sepnd that $10 in the bakery on decent Italian Bread !!

I would make it because I think homemade ziti always tastes better.

I agree. And there's NO CLEAN UP. Which is the worst part of cooking in my bookChat Icon
