wwyd: regarding nursery
so we're putting the house we live in up for sale this week. we're hoping to be moved out by the time arives (im due july 2nd) but obviously there's no guaranteeing that. after my shower, should we set up the nursery at this house or wait until we move (even if it's after he's born)? the only reason why i want the nursery set up is so we have an extra room to be in (we currently live with our ILs) and i could BF in there and have his furniture all set up. we wouldn't paint or anything but somewhat decorate. what do you think we should do? if we should set up the nursery here, when should we set it up?

IMO I would wait and see what the traffic looks like at your house as far as potential buyers. If you get a lot of lookers you may want to hold off...it's so difficult to tell with the market. At the very least I think you should set it up to at least BF the baby and change diapers...are you planning on using a bassinet or co-sleeper? You might be able to get away with not having to put together the crib right away...

if you are using a basinett- then i wouldnt bother setting up the crib- it could get banged up in the move...

Re: wwyd: regarding nursery
Im in a similar situtation, Im due end of July We are renting a house right now but are trying to buy. There are no real guarantee as to when we will be out of here. We actually already have the furniture (got a great deal so we jumped on it).
In this house the nursery will be were my dh office is. I keep telling him regardless of a new home or this one he has to pack everything up anyway. I figure set the room up but no painting or anything like that. I personally want a room for the baby when she get here even if its only temporary (I hope)
Unless we manage to buy a house within the next 2 month becouse it will take the dh that long to get out of that room!
