WWYD: Trick or Treating in an apt
I live in a gated apt complex. There's no real light out front of my door it lights the whole landing instead. There's four doors on top and I think three below on the first floor.
I have a happy halloween door cover on my door. I do have candy and yes I would love for us to give it out so we arent eating it.
from 6-8pm on Saturday there's a community function i want to take AJ too. Its like a park where they have little activities in and a safe place for kids to trick or treat plus AJ being so young will be able to walk around without fear of cars, etc. Nice grassy area, etc.
So.. WWYD?
How do i let ppl know we are participating in Trick or Treating at our apt?
How long should we stay home offering candy?
Should I give candy then go out? or go to the community thing for an hour then rush home for trick or treaters?
ETA: sunset is before 7pm here.. around 6:45-7pm.

Our townhome community does something similar. We give out candy until we head out to the party, then we just leave a big bowl with the candy on the stoop. I have to say, people are very considerate and we almost always have some left over. If we ran out, at least that would alert people that we WERE participating but ran out.
