We were invited to go trick or treating with a group of kids. The other kids are around 3 & 4 years of age. My son just turned two and he doesn't understand trick or treating. I know I can walk him to doors and knock for him and say trick or treat but what I'm worried about is him freaking out to whoever is behind the door (you know how toddlers can be at times) or will just turn around and run and not want anything which by the way he will not have most of what's given to him anyway. I really only allow him to have certain lollipops, m&ms and sweethearts(sp?)...

Should I just go and try to make the best of it with a newborn BTW? I have an 8 week old that I will have in a stroller. I just feel like I will be chasing DS around peoples front yards.

WWYD, would you skip it? How old was your DC when they started trick or treating (when did they understand to trick or treat?)
