Considering the corruption and incompetence of past administrations, I don't think he could do any harm.
At the same time, knowing Haiti's history, lack of infrastructure, middle class, and its rank as one of the poorest places on this planet, I don't see how he can be successful either.

Same here. I think his intentions are good as he has done a lot to help Haiti in the past.

He's technically not eligible. National rules state the the candidate has to be living in the country for at least 5 years by Election Day. He's not even close.

This is something that hits slightly close to home b/c I'm from the West Indies. His former bandmate Pras has even announced that he's NOT supporting him. Wyclef is in no way shape or form the right person for this job. he is an egotistical, opportunistic SINGER who needs to continue doing duets with Shakira and leave the politics to POLITICIANS. Haiti is in need of someone who has risen from the ruble with them to govern over the country, not some ego maniac who is going for the next interesting thing in life just b/c he has the money to manipulate poor people into voting for him.
