x post- brown discharge

This is my first time posting on this board, normally on the home board, but I know I can get great advise here.

So I was suppose to get my period on 5/10, but have been getting brown discharge instead and cont. Not alot but only when I wipe. I've also try to test to see if I was pregnant or not. And it comes back BFN. Is it too early to test or should I test in a day or so or go straight to the doc? I've already tested 3 times in the past week. A little obsessive, I know, but I've never had this go on for so long before. We've been trying for 2 1/2 years so dont want it to be a big disappointment when I go to the ob.

So your period is 10 days late and you're still getting BFNs? Do you know when you might have ovulated? I would go to the doctor now. If you are pregnant, they should be able to tell by now.

I was suppose to O on 4/21. But I had done the OPT and it was not able to predict my ovulation after using it for about a month.

Could it be that the tests are wrong? Those otc tests not work with my body's chemistry?

It sounds like you might be having an anovulatory cycle - one where you haven't ovulated. It happens sometimes.

Did you have any other signs of ovulation? Any EWCM or anything?

No EWCM this month. I think. I always seem to have discharge though.

Maybe it's possible that you ovulated later than you think.

I have had brown spotting/discharge the last two cycles. It has lasted for about a week, if not a day or two longer before my period started. Both of these cycles, I had chemical pregnancies though. So, perhaps this is what happened to you-- and it's too late to get a BFP on a test.. and it's just a matter of time before your period shows.

Some things to consider, are your cycles always the same length, was anything different about this cycle? Do you know based on previous cycles when you typically O?

I would call your doc to get their opinion... There are many reasons for spotting.
