Milk of Magnesia on the lesions works great for me.

I only have it on my elbows but I use Protopic and it works wonders. It's greasy but does the job.

i was gonna say--i was just given this medicine yesterday by my dermatologist, as she believes i may have developed psoriasis...and already the area i put it on is clearing up.

Re: Does anyone have psoriasis?? repost from Health
My MIL has a VERY bad and rare case and was only "cured" by a former leukemia drug: methotrexate
She goes to a fabulous doctor at NYU Med Center - Dr Shupac. He really is one of the best in his field.
He doesn't take insurance though (only medicare) so it's $450 for the initial appoint and $200ish each after.

Re: X-post: Does anyone have psoriasis??
My husband has psoriasis pretty bad, he has it all over. Last year he had a course of ultra-violet light treatment, and it didn't do anything. He uses lots of creams and ointments, but he doesn't get much relief. I feel for him.
This is a bit graphic, but interesting

Re: X-post: Does anyone have psoriasis??
I do...and right now, just on my elbows. I was recently given a prescription for fluocinonide.
Something else that works is pine tar soap...two brands you can try are Grandpa's pine tar soap and Packer's pine tar soap. This stuff works great for me.
You can find the soap at Whole Foods or some supermarkets will have it. I've never had luck finding this soap at stores like CVS or Walgreens, etc.
