Can anyone give me some info on Doulas they have used or rec's from family/friends?

Im only looking for a Labor doula ( not post partum) .

I see lists on line, but I dont want to just be so random about contacting people.

And any info on costs would be great. It seems to range, but I need to get an idea of cost before I pursue looking into it any further. A general idea would be great.

when I was pregnant, I was going to use a doula. I ended up going to labor sooner than I thought and blah blah blah, we ended up not using her, but she was great. I used to work with her. Her name is Patti Jo Blunnie and she works( or worked) at the New York College in Syosset( I don't know where you live, but I'm in western nassau and she was going to travel here) Call for her there 516.364.0808. I think she's one of the massage instructors there.
