X- post from Pregnancy W. Islip recs?
Anyone giving birth at Good Samiritan hospital? DH and I just put and offer in on a house in W. Islip and it was accepted. If so I would probably deliver here. Any OB rec's in the area? I am so nervous to change obs 1/2 way thru my pg.
ETA - Any ped rec's in the West Islip area?

I recommend South Bay OBGYN. There are many doctors in the practice, but I love Dr. Ammirrata. Dr. Judge is also great. You should try to see all the docs in the practice, though, because whoever is on call delivers. Dr. Judge delivered my DS. They are all fantastic.
As far as a pediatrician, I have been with Grello Pediatrics for years, and we love them!
Good luck!

Same here. Dr. Ammirrata delivered my DS. Dr. Judge is my ob - love him!!! I've referred several people to him and they are all very happy with him. Sometimes you might wait a while for your appointment though but everything else about them is great. We also go to Grello - again, sometimes you wait. Dr. Timothy George is also in WI - he's good too (used to be at Grello). I delivered at Good Sam - L&D was wonderful but maternity wasn't so great. Maybe they've improved because I know they were renovating at the time and things were a little hectic. Southside Hospital is also close and I've heard good things about them.
Welcome to West Islip!

I use to go to South Bay OB, and left. Yes the doctors there are great, it was the 2-3 hour waits constantly I could not stand. I left to go with Dr Polcino who use to be a part of them and who is now in North Babylon.

Thanks for all the recs. Does Good Sam have private rooms, and what is the process to get one?
