x post..girls that have taken clomid

i finished my first round of clomid in early december..it did not work and am going onto round 2..so i am waiting for af..

now since i have been a kid i have never had a cycle for less than 35 days..if i got it within 40 days,that was a good month..

so i got my period nov 23rd..and tonight i went to the bathroom and guess what i saw..af??

how is that possible?? could the clomid have regulated me that much?to be under 28 days?

is af making up for lost time?..im really confused and kinda worried and will call my doc tom and hopefully she is in..

i dont know if this matters at all buti also have been really sick and think i have bronchitis..

any information would be appreciated..gina

Sorry Gina... I dont know much about clmoid and its effects.. Just that it can change your cycle a bit. Im sure some of the girls have some advice to offer.

I am on round 2 also. My RE did mention it can alter the length of your period so it is important to use OPKs or get bloodwork/sonos. Did you use OPKS?

Clomid is a drug that is supposed to make you ovulate. You normally ovulate about a week after finishing your last dose. So, if you ovulated around day 12 - 14 of your cycle, then yes, you'd have af now. AF always comes about 10-16 days after you ovulate, whenever that is. So if you're used to 40 day cycles, that means you normally ovulate around CD 25. Clomid would make you O faster than normal, if it's working.

I did not ovulate on this cycle of clomid...I was just confused ad to why she came so early..as for the opks..I didn't use them this month becuase I have been using for 8 months and never have gotten a smiley..that's the reason for the clomid and I decided not to waste the money when I am just not ovulating at all

Oops also wanted to add af does not come every 40 days..I just meant never since I am a kid has it come before..I have gone 70 days between cycles,50 days,..I never know,it varies month to month..I was just so shocked to get af
