Xpost from NFR--super embarrassing moment. Can we call this a KERIE STORY?
I had an embarrassing moment this week. I knew that what I was saying was dirty but I did not know that I had an audience. And this is the first time I am telling anyone other than my sister and DH.
I've been under the care of a cardiologist, as a lot of people here know. My sister came over the other day just to be in the house with me while I shower b/c I have had a lot of symptoms when showering. After the shower, I was was drying off my legs and putting lotion on them. One leg was up on the sink and I was facing the door. My sister opened the door without knocking. I was so ******, I SCREAMED, "do you mind, my vagina is in the air here." She handed me the phone and said, "It's your doctor looking for you."
I didn't say anything to my doctor. Should I have? I have not even told any of my real life friends because I feel like an idiot. I have spoken to my doctor twice since then and I feel uncomfortable. However, being pregnant and having a heart problem, I am PROUD that I can still get my leg up on the sink!!!!!

Kerie, I'm sorry but
I wouldn't stress....if you have a good relationship w/ your dr. I would explain the circumstance..otherwise I'd just let it go.

Don't say anything. I think you said everything necessary.

I was just thinking today 'Gee, I haven't heard a Kerie story in a while.' That was worth the wait!!!!
I wouldn't worry. I'm sure the doctor has heard it all. And who says he fully heard you?

Oh, I was YELLING, and she had the phone right at the door, ready to shove into my hand. She was so nervous that he had called. He's the nicest sweetest doctor and I feel like an idiot.

OMG, how embarrassing! Honestly, I wouldn't say anything to the doctor. For all he knows, that could have just been an inside joke or something - and I'm sure he couldn't imagine the actual scene, thank goodness. no need to explain to him!

How embarrassing, I agree, but I would just forget about it. I'm sure he has heard worse and who knows, maybe he wasn't even paying attention. I work for docs and they are always doing something else while waiting for someone to come on the phone!

I keep thinking that I would never forget it if I heard a client say that! I would think of it whenever I speak to the person! One good thing--at least I used the word "vagina" and not something more harsh like the "p" word or the "c" word. Still, I am

This is hilarious..
I would not worry about it. I was VERY modest prior to being PG. After this pregnancy, it went out the door. After the back door issues, I just wanted to be fixed. I did not even care about the nurse mishandling the drape to cover me up. I just wanted to be "Fixed".
And your guts will be on the table during the c-section... who cares!!!!

But Kerie if one of your clients actually said it, it would be soooo out of context. For an OB/GYN I think he/she has heard the word more times than either of us can count.

Well, it was a little bit more out of context than that. It was my cardiologist on the phone. And at least some of my clients would have an excuse because of mental illness.
