I have gallstones but for the most part have been asymptomatic. I consulted with a surgeon before we even decided that I come of birth control.

They did tell me if I got a gallstone attack and if it got bad or blocked the bile duct they would operate while pregnant, but they prefer to do it in the 2nd trimester.

Hopefully all turns out good for you and you don't have to have surgery.

I didn't have gallstones until afterwards, sorry I can't help. If your gallstones aren't blocking your bile duct, you may be able to stick it out for a while, depending on the amount of pain you are feeling. I have a friend who has lived with her stones for years. If they block your bile duct, you have to get it taken care of immediately.
