XPOST FROM PETS: LOST DOG - FOUND GERMAN SHEPHERD! - PLEASE READ
Hey peeps!
I found a male german shepard dog today in stony brook on the side of Nicholl's Road. The dog looks young (I'd say about 1.5 years old) very friendly. Dog has no ID tag (just wearing a choke collar) and no microchip.
If you know of anyone who lives in that area and has a German Shepard, please let them know!! I dropped him off at the animal hospital next to Save-A-Pet on Route 112 Port Jefferson Station.

did you call the Brookhaven Animal Shelter to see if anybody reported a lost shepard?
I know I've had luck in finding dogs their owner by contacting the town's animal control. (My DH and I are constantly finding strays and reuniting them with their owners.  )

aw german shepards are my fav dogs! If I didn't live in NC I would take him in a heartbeat!
I hope he finds a good home
and why can't people put ID tags on their dogs!

Azad there was a post on petfinders for a missing German in Smithtown with a pink collar, I am not sure if it is the same dog.

Unfortunately no I still haven't heard anything yet.
He is a purebreed and was wearing a choke collar with no identification and no microchip.
