XPost from Pregnancy - Questions to ask In-Home Daycare
I just found an in-home daycare within blocks of my home and I really want to call and get some information.
Can you ladies help me think of some questions to ask??
Some questions I know I have to ask: - Hours of operation - Age range of children - How many children will she be caring for on a daily basis - Does she have helpers? - Cost - How do I phrase this question??
I'm drawing a blank!
TIA!

Cost - How do I phrase this question?
Are you f/t daycare? because if they take p/t, then ask what the rate is for f/t day care. Just ask. it is important.

Re: XPost from Pregnancy - Questions to ask In-Home Daycare
We went with someone to babysit in her home..not daycare, bc DD will be the only one all summer, but she babysits in her home for the past 20 years.
We just asked- "what is your weekly rate?" she has a weekly rate, so we don't pay per hour, which works for our benefit.
You should also ask what you will need to provide her with. We also asked about holidays/vacations- when they are open.

Re: XPost from Pregnancy - Questions to ask In-Home Daycare
How many children do you take in? How many adults per child? Are you licensed with the county?
DD's day care is in home also. I found her through the Nassau Childcare Web-site. She is licensed through the county and has to follow the guidelines and has inspections.

Thanks, I'm going to check that site out! I am leaning towards in-home daycare rather than a daycare facility.
