XPOST from pregnancy: swaddles, blankets

Sooo I got a lot of Swaddle type things and was wondering if I'm really going to need them all. This is what I got:

6 receiving blankets
3 blankets

4 Aden and Anais swaddles (definitely keeping these)
2 halo sleepsacks
5 Swaddle me (Kiddopatamus)
1 wearable blanket

I'm starting to wash stuff, so I'm thinking I'll definitely keep the Aden and Anais and blankets, but should I maybe hold off on opening the sleepsacks and swaddle me? Thoughts?

I also got 23 bibs
3 burp cloths
20 washclothes
4 hooded towels

Do I need more of anything or should I return anything? TIA

I washed all my swaddles just before DS was born. Well let me tell you this kid DID NOT like to be swaddles AT ALL! I tried and tried. So I had a ton of swaddles washed! I had to send out DH for sleepsacks.

I think you are ok with what you have. See what the baby likes then get more from there

I have sooo many swaddles and she is 2 weeks and doesn't use them. She used it for the first week then wanted her arms free. I use the sleepsack on her, get the lightweight ones for now and heavier for later.

She loves to stretch out so I think thats why shes over the swaddle so soon, but every baby is different.

Also make sure you have lot's of PJs and onsies, she goes through them a lot due to peeing/pooping etc...

ETA Get more burp cloths, we use one a day, we have like 15, we don't use bibs on her yet she is not a big spitter/drooler, i just wipe her mouth when feeding.

Also wash cloths for sponge bath b4 cord falls off you will need 2 at each bath.

Thank you! I think I'll only open one of the Swaddles for now to see if she likes them.

I have a lot of onesies and PJs! Thanks :)
