I love a good 40's pin-up look more than anyone (I am embarrassed to admit that I wore nothing but pin-up for about 10 years) but seriously you need to be dynamic I think. She can pull off so many other great looks.....
Oh and the only other person that I can think of that ALWAYS does the 40's thing is Dita von Teese. (for some reason it works on her though....I am such a hypocrite )

I don't think it is unique to dress like someone from the 40's. It seems very unnatural to me.

I was going to say...she is DEFINATELY unique...she stands out amongst all the other singers in her genre...and I thiink she looks amazing like this - her voice goes perfect with the whole big band music era...and I actually like that she chose to step outside the box with both her style and her music...

she needs to switch it up.
do it for one video, not EVERY video for an album.
she is too predicatable IMO.
for the "stripped" album she was that trashy rocker look in all those videos (Dirrrty, Fighter, etc)
now with this album Back to Basics EVERY video is her all 40s....
i just think she should switch it up a bit.
it was cute at first, but im over it.
i personally just dont think she does pin up very well

I love it. I think she rocks this look. It's obviously her theme for this album so I don't see what the big deal is - MANY MANY pop stars do it. Madonna especially. Pick a theme/look per album.
She looks fabulous in all the pics in her album, and she manages to look old hollywood glam and classy at all the events she attends which is more than I can say for most pop tarts her age. And alot of the music on her album goes with the look (I Got Trouble & Candyman in particular). So the way I see it, she's got her sh!t very together right now.

She looks great in Maxim magazine this month. She does not have the 40's look and she really looks gorgeous. I like her and her voice is amazing.
