Re: those who started solids at 6 months...
Michael was late with everything since starting cereal at 6 months. Also, because I work, I did each new food each week, rather than waiting only 3 days or so. So by time Michael tried meat, I think he was about 9 months or so. Cheese/yogurt was almost 10 months...

Oh don't feel like that - everyone works at their own pace. I didn't mind that Michael was "behind"... it was kind of nice knowing my child was taking his time with things.

We started late too, and DD went a solid strike for at least 2 weeks.
DD is just finished all her veggies, except carrots, and we just tried beef last week. She's 8.5 months old and not a big eater.
I feel sometimes we are playing catch up too, but I am glad we waited. I have some food allergies and i didn't want to chance it with DD.
