Yes i have to go back to work

aughh, i am so annoyed over people asking me why do i need to go back to work. Not that my financial situation is their business, but don't they realize if i could be a fulltime SAHM , i would? plus i am only going back p/t, 3 days a week and its only 15 hours or so-Most people would be thrilled to do that. plus i have family watching him, so hes not in daycare and honestly, its sort of nice to be around adults a couple hours a week.
sorry i just need to vent. I feel like its the older generation who keeps asking me and telling me i should stay home with my son. MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!

Whatever you do is for you DC and no one biz!!
No one understands how different things are and that women out there HAVE to work.

I get this all the time and I chose to go back to work. It's my choice (along with my DH) for me to work and it's what works best for our family. For ouor own reasons, we want our DD to go to daycare and believe in the benefits of it and feel fortunate that we can afford it. We tell people as much and just watch their faces. It is no one else's business as to what you and DH decide for your family.

I used to get this all the time and now only once in a while. My response has always been:

"If you can pay my mortgage so that I can stay home and DH doesn't have to work 3 jobs then I will take you up on it."
