Yesterday's tests...(not really Parenting related, but I feel more comfortable posting here) New UPDATE 11/28
Just wanted to update all of you. I had my Cardiac MRI and Stress test yesterday. The MRI freaked me out a bit. I get the results next week. The cardiologist (not my doctor) that was there told me that the heart function was impaired as was my valve which I knew. She said that it does not look like she would recommend surgery now, but she is not my doctor. It was reassuring that she felt that way.
I also asked her if she would recommend me getting pregnant again. I guess she saw me tearing up as I asked . She then said that she is not my doctor and it is hard to determine what my body can handle, etc. etc. etc. She was so upbeat about me not having surgery but when I asked her about another pregnancy I could see it written all over her face, I don't think she would recommend I do it if I were her patient. She did not say that but said everything but that and was VERY careful about her choice of words.
So, now we wait for the results from my cardiologist. Any prayers you could send my way would be appreciated. Thanks 
UPDATED 11/22/06 -
I just got the results for the stress test and I am still waiting for the MRI results
Anyway, I am going back on meds and I was told that another pregancy might cause irricovable damage to my heart and depending on the MRI, Grace may be my only biological child. The doctor said he is 80% sure that he would not recommend another pregnancy for me. I am so sad right now and I am still at work. My head is spinning and I don't even know what more I can say about it. I just wanted to update all of you. 
Update 11/27:
Last night was spent in the ER of Good Samaritain in Suffern. DH and Grace came with me, then I sent them home. I was having chest pains around 8PM and called my doc at Columbia. He told me to get to the ER immediately. At the hospital, they ran tests on me for 8 hours. I got home at 6AM (via a car service). The bloodwork came out normal, but my EKG was off. I am going to see my cardiologist at Columbia tomorrow for more tests. Ugghhh. 
I hope he can figure this out. I just wanted to update you all again. Thank you all for the 's,  's and for letting vent/talk about all of this; it means more to me than you know.
UPDATE 11/28
I went to the cardilogist today. The MRI came back and it was not as bad as we thought.  He said I do not need surgery now, but he wants to run one more test to make it 100%. Also, what happened on Sunday night was eighter due to the valve or stress.
He would like to do one more test, an Trans-Esophageal Echocardiogram. http://heartdisease.about.com/cs/echocardiograms/a/tee.htm
Bottom line, once this test is done he will determine what will happen next.
I pray it was just stress and not my valve.
