Yet another Christmas gift ruined...

DH saw his gift yesterday and I am just p!issed about how it all went down Chat Icon

I bought him a gun locker for his hunting stuff. He wanted to keep his things locked up in the house now that the kids are getting bigger. I figure - good gift - practical - and not expensive.

So, I asked BIL to pick it up and leave it at their house (MIL's house). He left it in the basement in plain view! Chat Icon . OK - whatever since we don't live there I figure he won't be in the basement from now until Christmas (how wrong was I!). So, DH was over the IL's yesterday and I CALLED MIL to tell her "don't let Ray in the basement!". So, what does my GENIOUS MIL do?? Tells him to bring the laundry down INTO THE BASEMENT but just "don't look " because your gift is down there Chat Icon .

Gimme a fariggin break! You think he was not going to look!?!?!?

So, last night DH tells me, "oh, I saw my gift - my parents got me a gun locker for Christmas". No, buddy - you wonderful wife bought that for you and now you have ruined it for me.

I wanted to curl up and cry (well, I did the crying part anyway Chat Icon ). So, once again this year, his Christmas gift is ruined before we even got to it. I swear, I always try to surprise him with nice things and it always backfires. I am not doing this to myself next year...

Oh, and what can or should I say to MIL and BIL? They both RUINED it with sheer stupidity! Chat Icon
