You said you swaddle him but do you use the Miracle Blanket? It save dmy life for the first 6 months.

no...we've been using lightweight flannel blankets since he seems to be a very warm baby like his sister.

I think I will try the miracle blanket!

You should DEFINATELY try it!!!!!! I think it may help you very muchChat Icon

I agree. DS sweats all the time. I put him in a diaper and the blanket. He is fine in it.

Re: Yet ANOTHER horrid night.....

Do whatever works. The leader of my new moms' group said that we are in the "trenches" for the first few months (for me it was 6 months) and we need to do whatever it takes to get through it. I told myself that all day/night while Lily & I were crying hysterically. I agree with the above posters - if the swing works, use it!!! I hope it gets better soon. Chat Icon

OMG...PLEASE use the swong if it means the difference between Sleep and no sleep.

DS sleeps in his swing now ( since 3 weeks) and I could care less that its his swing hes in...I will move him out of it soon enough and maybe the transition will be harder , but its getting me sleep NOW when I need it.

Also Shana, I REALLY think you need to get the "Happiest baby on the block" DVD or book.

It made a WORLD of difference for us, the techniques work SO well, you will be amazed.

That and the miracle blanket saved my life.

Since using both Noah sleeps 7+ hours a night and when he cries I can calm him down from crying almost right away.

I never woudl have known how without them.

I used the swing a lot when Molly was a baby. It was where she slept the best and the longest. I also used to prop her on her bobby pillow so her body was elevated. You have to do what works. Since about 9 months, no more swing for naps and her boppy has been gone for months.

At this age, do what works and worry about the habits later.
