Your child's bedroom furniture...
I have not yet bought my dd her bedroom furniture because we are living in a 1 bedroom apartment as we wait patiently for our house to be built. I was just talking with my MIL and she wants to buy the big crib (I have the minicrib currently) for her house to use because she will begin to watch my dd in 3 weeks when I go back to work. My thought is, if we buy the crib we should buy the rest of the furniture in case it gets discontinued buy the time the house is ready.... so I have been looking and don't know what other furniture to buy.
The crib I will be getting her will turn into her full size bed when she gets older.
What other furniture do you have for you kids?
My dd will have a large walk-in closet (we adjusted the plans when we found out it was a girl ) so she doesn't need a ton of draws for clothes.
Her room size is 15 feet by 12 feet so it needs some pieces so it won't look empty.
I currently have a short dresser from the same line that has 3 draws that I am using as her changer. What else does she need or is typical for a kids room? Bookcase? Larger dresser? Taller dresser? The longer 6 draw dresser? I have no clue!
TIA

I am having the same issue. We just moved in to our new home. DD has a large walk in closet which has plenty of room for clothes. The only thing I am getting her right now is a crib. My DS already has a whole set which we bought last year. And he doesnt even use all of the drawers. So DD will share drawer space with her big brother!

Re: Your child's bedroom furniture...
What about a desk that she can use when she's older?
Or something like this where you can put in a TV down the road?

Re: Your child's bedroom furniture...
I don't have many pieces in Athan's nursery. I have his crib that will covert into a full size bed as he gets older, a nightstand next to it with a lamp on it and a drawer where I keep his sheets, and a larger 6 drawer dresser with a mirror opposite the crib. He has a huge closet that takes up an entire wall, and opposite that wall is a window with a little space on either side of it. I would love to get a bookcase in there, or eventually a small desk and chair. We'll see...

Re: Your child's bedroom furniture...
In Hannah's nursery I have a crib, that also turns into a toddler bed and a dresser which is also her changing table. She can use it as her own dresser when she gets older as well. I bought furniture that looked older so we will have them for a long time. She has a closet in her room too, so I have most of her clothes in there.

Re: Your child's bedroom furniture...
I was thinking of a glider... but she will probably be closer to 1 year old when we finally move in. If I have never used one with her, would I use it? I was thinking of maybe getting her a small chair in the fabric of her bedding. hmmm.

Re: Your child's bedroom furniture...
We have a crib, a long dresser (maybe 6 drawers? I dont remember), a bookcase, a child size rocking chair, a large basket on the floor filled with stuffed animals, and a small antique settee (small Victorian style sofa).
