Fake. It goes up the day after Christmas and comes down January 7th.
you put your tree up the day after Christmas?? What is the point?
I'm pretty sure she means Thanksgiving.
We put our fake tree up the day after Thanksgiving, and it usually stays up until the weekend after New Year's.
In the long run, a fake tree is cheaper, not a fire hazard, easier to put up and down, you always know you'll find the tree you want, no needles, no watering.
If I want the smell, we can always get wreaths and/or boughs of pine.

Your Christmas Tree
Fake. We had real for years and even though I would buy it a week or so before Xmas it would still look like crap on Xmas day. Last year I finally had enough. Went and bought a fake 2 days before Xmas. I put it up yesterday and I have never been so happy. My DS is so excited to have the tree up so if he's happy so are we!!! And I will not be cleaning needles up for the next 6 months

Re: Your Christmas Tree
we used to have real trees every year of my life, but we got a fake one for the first time ever.
with a 4 year old, and a new apartment with carpet in the living room, i didn't want the needles and sap. will be putting it up this weekend, so we'll see how much i like it.

When we redo the upstairs I'm getting a second tree though, and that one will be fake

Your Christmas Tree
Real. Got ours this past Saturday and we've kept it up each year until after Epiphany (Jan 6). Never had issues with it drying out but we do water it every morning and night.
Dh will also chop it up and dry it out so we use it for our outdoor fire pit in the summer.

Re: Your Christmas Tree
Both. Fake upstairs since that's where dd spends most of her time. And the real one will be in the basement
