Your Experience With Alarm Companies
DH & I had both Slomin's and Brink's over last night to give estimates, etc. It's so hard to get a feel for them without the input of current (or previous) customers.
What do you think of either company? What has your experience been?

We have Slomin's and so far they have been great... They have been very helpful will all our questions.

I'm a lurker, but had to give my opinion on this one. . .
Had Slomins (actually had them for my central air, oil and alarm) cancelled all of my accounts and different times for different reasons.
Absolute horrible experiences with them.
This is actually the first time I have heard anything good about them!

In our research before getting an alarm, those big companies give you alot less on their "deals". When they come over and you need more sensors etc the price keeps going up. We opted to go with a private alarm installer and were very happy! We are connected to central station also.

We're using Slomins because the set up was already here when we purchased the home. We've set the alarm off many times  and they've always given a great response time and sent the police when we weren't there.

We heard negative things about the large companies so we went with a smaller independent company, Budd Morgan and so far so good.
