Youth/Child Furniture

We originally bought a convertiable crib for our Chat Icon and he's now 4 years old and we past it down to his littleChat Icon who's using it.

So where should I look for furniture?

Another thing did anyone buy a Full bed for their DC or just a Twin to start off with?

Anyone buy from Bob's?

Thanks.

Re: Youth/Child Furniture

we got DS's furniture from bobs. I know people say its not the best quality, but honestly I was not looking to buy him an expensive set (he was 3 when we got it) as I am sure it's going to be banged, scratched, etc. I figure when he is older, I will get him a more expensive, better quality set. With that said, I have to say I am so happy with it (its called greenville-pictures online doesn't do it justice), everyone who sees it in person comments on how nice it looks. I got the bed, dresser and night stand. It also was reasonably priced (even though it's one of their more expensive chlds set).

AWe decided on a twin bed. Thats what I had till I was a teenager, then I got a full. Depends on how much room you have also. We were renting when we bought it, knowing we would be buying a house in the near future and didn't know what his bedroom space would be like then. Figured better to play it safe now.

When DS was ready for furniture, we went with Gothic. All wood construction, dove tail, metal glides.

I had a set when I was young and it lasted until the day I got married.

We've had it two years and not a scratch, dent or scuff. The very expensive Belini baby furniture was another story - waste of good money.

Behr's in Massapequa has a huge selection. We Got DD#2's furniture there. We got the Ma Marie collection form Stanley Young America.

My other DD has my childhood set from Ethan Allen that I got when I was 10 years old. It's still in great condition.

I was at Raymour & Flanigans over the weekend and they had a decent selection for kids.
