Re: No post about the snow?
I've been watching it. The forecast isn't changing much over the last few days, so it's very likely that the meteorologists are going to be fairly accurate. I've seen similar numbers from various sources, too.
I was at the beach yesterday doing some community service cleanup with the Scouts, and I had my hoodie unzipped because it was so nice out!
I should probably get all of the snow removal stuff ready....

Re: No post about the snow?
My sons been b!tching about it because he says they won’t have a snow day. Oh well can’t have it both ways.
I don’t think it will be such a hot topic on this forum because it seems like everyone is mostly home anyways.

Re: No post about the snow?
Maybe we aren’t making a big deal about it because - well, come on. A major snowstorm is nothing compared to what this year has thrown at us. And it’s not like “no school” even makes a difference either
Snowblower ready. Boots out of closet and having wood burning stove chimney cleaned today to be ready for the winter.

I love snow any year but this year I agree about this year since we have a similar situation. My DH can work from home when he wants, the kids are remote on Wednesday anyway and we have someone come plow out the driveway for us because it's too long and inclined. Nothing to do but sit back and enjoy the white stuff.

Re: No post about the snow?
My district is still using their snow days as it becomes an equity issue for those who do not have reliable internet where they live. Once we use up our days, they will then do virtual learning. My superintendent said playing in the snow is one joy of being a kid and he wouldn't want to rob them of this - especially this year - with everything being crazy as it is. As a mom of a 6 year old, I appreciated this.

Here's the latest.
12z Euro is in and it has a slight shift south with 12-18 inches of snow over the following areas: North-Central MD, most of central and eastern PA, CNJ & NNJ, all of Connecticut, NYC, Long Island, Rhode Island, southeast Mass and Westchester, NY region. Southern NJ is mostly rain. Image Attachment(s):

I can never enjoy it because I’m always last minute Mary. It’s snowing now, and I still need to get a tree and go food shopping. I didn’t even know it was going to snow today. Lol.

That stinks because I usually trust the Euro. I was hoping it wouldn't come in so high

No post about the snow?
There was a person here who used to post the snow maps. I guess they arent around anymore. I am excited for some snow. My kids haven't used the snow pants we bought them 2 years ago. I am hoping enough to make a snowman, but not enough to be a huge nuisance...

No post about the snow?
Getting closer! Does anyone have know the timing of the predicted start? I’m hearing anything from Wednesday afternoon to evening. Do schools even still do an early dismissal for weather? Are we thinking Thursday is the school snow day? Thoughts?

Re: No post about the snow?
Weather.com is saying the snow is going to start around 4pm on Wednesday, so I can't picture schools closing or dismissing early on Wednesday. Thursday is a definite closure.

Last I heard Wednesday about 10pm start. News12 increased amounts and weather.gov lowered. Weather.gov is usually 100% correct as they keep adjusting.

Not until way after school on Wed so no early dismissal. Thursday will be the snow day
