9 yo birthday ideas
For my 9 years old twins birthday in November we rented out a movie theater and invited a few friends. They each invited a few friends and it was great. The price was really good. They all LOVED it and had some normalcy.

My sons birthday is Monday and we don’t ever have a party. We might do a parade or just see his grandparents that we have already been seeing. Birthdays are low key in our family.

Re: 9 yo birthday ideas
My boy's birthdays were in the summer, but we did a water fun parade. LOL People drove by and shot them with their water guns. A bit too cold but what about hiring an ice cream truck to come and invite a few of DC's closest friends and let them sit around having desserts? We are really cautious so anything we've done is outside
What about a smores party. A few close friends and invite them to make smores and have cupcakes around the fire. Get a propane heater for extra heat.

I friend of mine did this for her son recently. They set up an outdoor projector for a movie and had popcorn and candy and then turned on the fire pit to make smores and gave out hot chocolate in personalized travel mugs, which doubled as favors (along with blankets).
