birthday help
my cousin will be 50, next year.
she's the best cousin a girl could ever dream of. in many ways, we've been like sisters.
i am planning to reach out to her husband, a close friend, and a cousin on her father's side to start planning a 50th birthday party... not sure if we'll want to keep it a surprise.
aside from the blip/craziness that has been the world with a pandemic, what are the most up-to-date party trends to consider? are photobooths our of fashion? etc.
i would like to avoid doing "dated" things for this party.
i want to start planning early because i believe all good venues will be booked for parties that were postponed.
also, any other non-party ideas would be great.
thanks.

Re: birthday help
Is there something she's into? For DH's 40th I did a "beer" theme party with different beers, beer glasses, pretzels,, mini hot dogs, etc.
it's been a while since I've been to a party, but I do think the photobooths are still cute. Last party I went to we did Cards Against Humanity. That was a lot of laughs. I went to a food truck party, but it was so nice. They paired all the wines with the courses.
I'm always a big fan of Hors d'oeuvres at parties.

I think food trucks are pretty big now. Or those campers they convert to mobile bars Also, I saw this and thought it was so cute... a champagne cart!
