5G phone?
My phone is on its last legs, so I need to get a new one, soon (this week). I generally keep my phones for a pretty long time (my current one is a little over 3 yrs old and I would have kept it longer if I could). I'm not someone who needs the "latest and greatest", but since I'm planning on keeping the new phone for at least 3 yrs (hopefully longer), should I be getting a 5G phone? I really don't want to spend that kind of money, but will consider it, if it will really make a big difference in a year or so.

Re: 5G phone?
What do you use your phone for mostly? I know nothing about 5G, but then again I have been using my iPhone 6 for about 7 years. I want the 11, but I don’t really need it. The 12 sounds nice because it has 5G, but I don’t need it. I use my phone to check email, keep a calendar, use WhatsApp, check FB, browse sites, make calls, photos, and google maps.
Most of the time I’m on wifi all over anyway, so I feel I don’t need it. I also don’t think 5G is all over yet. I would say in about 5 years, it will be more available. I’m not a techie. I’m just a basic phone user.

Re: 5G phone?
Go for the 5 G. I have the iPhone 8 for a while now and it’s about time for me to get a new one. I was trying to decide between the 11 and the 12 and truth is, price wise it isn’t THAT different. Plus I always sell my phone back to them for a discount. I also have device $ saved on my account (verizon rewards for paying my Bill every month. $5 here and there)
Once this covid is gone and I have the ability to think straight, I’m upgrading to the 12 on 5G

5G phone?
Both of my kids just got the 12 for Christmas and personally, I don't really see much difference between 4G and 5G. I do know that I had to change my plan on Verizon because the old plan was only for 4G, so my plan amount went up.

I have the 12 and for what I use it for speed wise - I see no difference between it and my 8. I do like a lot of the features though - but they are also offered on the 11. I went with the 12 because with the deal going on at the time it ended up being cheaper.
